On the evening of March 3, 2026, at Tran Hau Park, the Ha Tien People's Committee solemnly organized a grand Art Program, Fireworks Festival, and Lantern Festival to celebrate the 290th Anniversary of the Chieu Anh Cac Literary Society (1736 - 2026).

Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung - Former Member of the Politburo, Former Prime Minister. Mr. Le Hong Anh - Former Member of the Politburo, Former Standing Member of the Secretariat. Delegation from An Giang Province: Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai (Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee), Mr. Ho Van Mung (Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee), along with other senior provincial officials.

Exactly 290 years ago, in the Spring of 1736, Governor Mac Thien Tich founded the Chieu Anh Cac Literary Society. It served as a prestigious gathering for intellectuals and poets, recognized by historians as the second-largest literary society in Vietnamese history (after the "Nhi Thap Bat Tu" founded by King Le Thanh Tong).
In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Hai Quoc – Chairman of the Ha Tien People's Committee, emphasized that the festival aims to honor the cultural achievements of ancestors, inspire national pride, and promote Ha Tien as a heritage-rich, friendly, and hospitable destination to the world.The art program was elaborately staged with the participation of renowned artists from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, divided into three powerful chapters:
Chapter 1: Ha Tien - The Frontier Realm – Reenacting the legends of the land's exploration and establishment.
Chapter 2: Ha Tien - The Realm of Poetry – Bringing to life the classic verses of "Ha Tien Thap Vinh" (Ten Scenic Views of Ha Tien) and the birth of the society.
- Chapter 3: Ha Tien - A New Vitality – Affirming Ha Tien's position as a dynamic border city and a key economic-tourism hub.The climax of the night featured two breathtaking highlights:
Artistic Fireworks: A 15-minute low-altitude firework display illuminated the sky of Ha Tien on the night of the first full moon of the lunar year, symbolizing the city's prosperity and strong transformation.
- Lantern Floating on Dong Ho Inlet: Following the art program, leaders and tourists participated in a ritual of floating lanterns. Ha Tien has set a key goal to officially have the Chieu Anh Cac Festival recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
